A lot of players have been affected by mob heads in the quest crate appearing as Alex heads. The good news is I’ve found a makeshift solution that’ll get them appearing correctly. The bad news is everyone has to do it on their end individually. This post will hopefully make the process as simple as possible for those who wish to see all mob heads correctly. The step-by-step process is as follows:
- Load up a singleplayer creative world and place a command block.
- Visit our official crate item list found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NIMFPxyd9ScNM9Jbr-2hoRb7iXcRQ2_zW3drz52IdHQ/edit?usp=sharing Navigate from here to whichever month’s quest crate has the mob head(s) you’re looking to fix.
- Scroll down to the list of mob heads near the bottom. Each mob head should have a /give command in the cell directly next to it. You’ll need to execute that give command in your singleplayer world.
- Select the cell containing the give command you want to execute and Ctrl + C to copy it. Go into your singleplayer world and Ctrl + V that command into the first box in the command block menu. Then activate the command block with any redstone signal (a button, etc) to give yourself that head. It’s not going to look correct, this is normal.
- Repeat step 4 for every mob head that appears as an Alex head for you. Once you have all those heads in your inventory, save and quit, close Minecraft, and relaunch.
- Load into that singleplayer world again and all the mob heads should now load correctly, including on Altitude!
