Hello everyone, The end of the year is finally here and it’s time to move all server finances into Teriuihi’s name. I will be removing my Paypal and Stripe info from the donation store tomorrow at 5PM EST. You will be unable to complete any transactions on the store after this. The donation store will begin working again when Teriuihi configures his payment gateways after New Year’s. Happy holidays everyone!
The update will be taking place on January 2020, Friday the 3rd. The update will take a while so the network may be down all day Friday. All the worlds will first need to be updated to 1.14 and then to 1.15.1 to ensure there are no issues with the current worlds.
Luckily there isn’t a lot players will need to do before we update, most things will be moved over automatically. The most important thing to do is empty your MyPet inventories, there is a high chance MyPets will be reset and we won’t be able to use them until it has updated.
Once we’ve updated you will be able to move over all your items. We will open the new worlds (made for 1.15.1) next to the current ones, you will be able to teleport between them to get all your items. The old worlds will stay open for one month, if you haven’t moved over your items by then they will be lost! When you log in on 1.15.1 we will already have taken a % of your money, this % will be disclosed at a later date to avoid misuse of the information. Claimblocks will be affected by this as well.
When moving your items from the 1.13 to the 1.15.1 world all enchants will be reduced to a vanilla level (not vanilla combinations). All players will keep their enderchests, inventories, levels, etc. However, McMMO will get reset.
Players should use the next week to finish all of your builds so that they look the way you want them to look for the map download. We will save the world as it is right now and as it is a week from now so if you want you could start breaking everything down as preparation as well. The map download will be published here in an announcement when we remove the old worlds from the server.
We are not able to update quite yet but it’s getting close, most of the plugins have updated, we are just waiting for a few vital ones before we can make the servers publicly available. We do not know when they are done, but will announce it a day before we update. Players will be able to take over all their items, some money will be removed in the transition but most of it you can transfer as well. MyPets won’t be available for a while and are likely to need some form of reset so please make sure to empty their inventories. When we switch to 1.15 we will have the old and the new world together for each server for a month. You can use that time to move everything you want over. Please make sure to finish any of your builds before then, we will save a copy of the server the day before we update and make that public a month into 1.15.
We will be partially redoing the vote crate, to do this properly we will be removing all higher than normal level enchants from items during the transfer. This will be automatic, enchants that normally can’t be on items will stay, the only thing this will do is lower the level of the enchant back to a vanilla value.
We want to do one last test of 1.15 to determine what the player limit per server should be. Please help us with this by joining the test server 66.70.181.8:25567 this Friday at 11 PM UTC.
This Thursday at 3PM UTC the servers will go down from anywhere between 15 and 30 minutes to switch to a different Java version. The current version we use will no longer be free to use so we have to remove the current version and install openjdk 8. Just to be clear this is not an update to 1.15 but we will release more information about 1.15 soon.
The event team have been working hard on their newest event, and following past tradition this holiday’s winter event will be a Hide and Seek! The event will last for a few hours and will consist of multiple rounds so you can hop in and out of rounds whenever you please. We hope you’ll be able to join us on Saturday 14th December at 9pm UTC!
Hey everyone as I’m sure you know 1.15 has officially been released. We can’t update yet since spigot and by extension all the plugins we use haven’t updated. But we can start testing, just like we have been doing with the snapshots. To test the vanilla server performance properly we need as many people as possible to join. If you have time to help us test come join us at 66.70.181.8:25567. The goal is to simulate what would normally happen, so just walk around/explore and play the game as you normally would.
Since we have no plugins looting player bases is not allowed. Please follow normal Altitude rules and don’t do things that would normally be prevented by plugins
