The build contest is over and the winners have been chosen! Each build was judged based on it’s detail and realism – with a large focus on how close to the real image the build was. We only focused on the sides that were visible in the original reference photo.

The builds were judged by 9 staff with each staff member picking their favorite (worth 3 points), second favorite (worth 2 points), and third favorite (worth 1 point).

The winners are:

Arhub – with 22 pts
deals4you – with 19 pts
GooseInk – with 13 pts

This was a very close challenge with a LOT of amazing builds! We were very impressed by the quality of ALL of the builds. Due to how close the race was, we will be giving second and third place a $20 discount code for the Donation store in addition to the $50 discount code for 1st place!

1.14 Status

1.14 Status

We are still experimenting with 1.14 to see how it performs and make sure all of our plugins are compatible. So far, we have not made any decisions on what our plan is for 1.14. Many of our plugins are not compatible yet, and performance and stability are still uncertain. We cannot decide what we are going to do until we know for sure whether a 1.14 server can run stable, support more than 50 on at once, and have all the features that we currently offer.

We will make an announcement once we know what we are going to do. Until then, please do not ask about 1.14 – if we haven’t made an announcement then we have nothing to share – and continue to enjoy 1.13.2!

1.14 Client Support

Starting tomorrow (after the next automatic reboots) you may join the servers with a 1.14 client if you want to. This is ONLY to make it easier for people who don’t know how to change their version – WE ARE STILL ON 1.13.2! You will not be able to use any of the new 1.14 blocks – the server will convert them back to 1.13.2 items. It is still recommended that you play on the same version as the server (1.13.2) for the best compatibility with the server.

If you are confused, just ignore this and keep using 1.13.2.

EDIT: Some people are reporting issues switching servers when in the nether. This bug is inconsistent and can be fixed by closing your game and re-joining the server you want to be on directly instead of “switching” to it from another server.

Hello everyone! Our Altitude events team has prepared another great event this month. It will take place on Saturday 20th April at 9pm UTC.

This month’s event is a UHC battle where players fight in a shrinking arena until the last player is standing. Due to the nature of hardcore survival, health does not regenerate naturally meaning you must be more cautious when exploring and attacking others.

Throughout the map will be Large Easter eggs to break open with goodies inside. They will provide you with items to progress further in the event and give you advantages over your rivals.

Due to an exploit that was discovered, we have tweaked the buy/sell prices of crops/foods and emeralds in the spawn donation stores. We suggest that everyone who owns player shops review their prices to make sure they are in-line with the new official prices.

I also want to invite anyone who notices an issue with the prices in the future to please reach out! The prices in spawn should reflect what items would be worth (in relationship with each other) in a vanilla trading system. The economy shouldn’t be affecting what items are worth.

For example, if you wouldn’t trade a diamond for ten carrots, you shouldn’t be able to BUY a diamond by selling ten carrots.

Due to the number of complaints we’ve received about the top-voter system, and the limitations of the plugin making it impossible for us to implement any of the changes being suggested, I’ve obliterated the old system and implemented a new one.

There is NO top-voter reward anymore. Being #1 or #2 each week will NOT get you any reward.

Instead, once you have reached 36 votes in a single week you will get the “Top Voter Crate Key”. This means the NEW WAY to get the Top Voter Crate Key is to vote on every site at least 6 days each week. Every week you do this, you get a key. This makes the game fair for everyone and should make things easier too.

Last month I posted a challenge to hit 3k members within the month of March. We blew past that goal with 3,223 members by April 1st!!
