We are excited to introduce our YouTube/Twitch rank program. Members of the community who produce content on the server (and meet requirements that we are still working out) can receive a yellow rank on Discord and in-game. In addition to standing out you will also receive extra permissions to assist in recording – including spectator mode on the server! We will have more details on how to apply for this soon.

Our first member to join this rank is @MasterGo, a Twitch streamer who has been a member of Altitude for over a year. He recently hit 200 followers on Twitch and is doing a giveaway on his page!

He will be giving away two games: Hitman the complete first season and 7 days to die. We’ve also added a free Duke rank to the mix! For more details on the giveaway check out his channel here: https://twitch.tv/mastergo89. He will be announcing the winner on November 7th @ 6PM MST.

Hello everyone! It’s taken a little while, but Voting Rewards are finally here. We’ve been able to release the regular rewards crate today, with the Super Crate expected to be available in the very near future. We have over 200 unique rewards varying from mcMMO levels or hard cash to unique tools and gear.

Removed StackMob Plugin

Removed StackMob Plugin

I’ve removed the StackMob plugin because I want to see how the server performs with 1.13.2. Hopefully, we will not need to re-install the plugin, however we won’t know anything until we can monitor server performance with lots of players online.

Unfortunately, removing this plugin means that the server no longer recognizes stacks as multiple mobs. It will instead treat each stacked mob as just one mob with a custom name. I understand this is frustrating – if this causes you to lose anything important we will spawn it back in. If you’ve just lost a few cows/chickens/etc, though, I ask that you just breed them.

Late Halloween Event!

Late Halloween Event!

It’s a bit late, but here it is anyways! The Halloween event consists of multiple rooms that players must find their way through. In these rooms, players must complete challenges which range from parkour to finding buttons to open doors. The event will take place Saturday, November 3rd, 8 PM UTC. Everyone is welcome to join, but it would be very helpful if participants could let us know that they’ll be joining by going to this link: http://bit.ly/2P0DGbS. This is so we know how many people to expect.

We’ve Updated to 1.13.2

I’ve just installed the 1.13.2 update this morning and the servers are online with no known issues. Some plugins needed to be updated and it is possible that we may have missed some, so if you have an issues with the 1.13.2 update please report them on the forums in the bug reports section.

Dynmap requires an update to work with 1.13.2, so it is currently in the process of purging the world data so that it can re-render the map with the new version. Until this process is completed Dynmap probably will not work. This process should take a couple of days to complete.

Also, please note: you must use 1.13.2 to connect to the server now!

The official Altitude forums are back by popular demand! Many of you have requested a way to share ideas, show off creations, collaborate with others, and communicate with staff in a more organized way than Discord. We’re excited to announce that our forums have officially re-opened and are ready for all of that and more!

The forums will now be the official place to report bugs, suggest ideas and events, advertise what your shops and towns, and more. We will also post all of our announcements and the changelog to the forums as well, so you can access them from anywhere – even if your not on Discord.

We Are Not on 1.13.2 Yet!

We Are Not on 1.13.2 Yet!

Mojang released Minecraft 1.13.2 today, but we have not updated yet. It will likely be a couple of days before we do. Until we update, you MUST continue using 1.13.1 to connect to the server! If you are unable to connect to Altitude, you are likely using the wrong version.

Inventories and economy data now sync between survival servers. I understand some Apex data has been lost (no Summit data should have been lost.) We will work on restoring lost data over the next week but it will take us some time PLEASE BE PATIENT!

Only admins and head admins can access the data, so they will be working hard to work through everyone’s requests. We have backups of the data so nothing is lost DO NOT FREAK OUT!

On Saturday, October 20th, at 8PM CDT (Oct 21th 1AM GMT), we will install a plugin that will merge player data between both survival servers: Apex and Summit. Inventories, health, exp, and economy balances should carry between servers with this plugin.

PLEASE NOTE: the plugin will not know which inventory it should import, so if you have been on both servers it will only take your Summit inventory & enderchest. To make sure you don’t lose your stuff, everyone should be emptying their inventories & enderchests into chests whenever they log out from now until Sunday.

It was a difficult decision to make, but after careful consideration of all the applications we received, we were able to narrow them down to our two newest Trainees.
