World Download

All survival servers and the two main creative worlds have been uploaded here: https://alttd.com/worlddl. They have been compressed using the 7z format because we’re limited in how much data we can transfer on the service we’re using to host the files. This means you will need to extract the world using 7zip which you can download here: https://www.7-zip.org/download.html.

The download includes all warp coords in an excel sheet (courtesy of PunchyFoil15). And we might add the world maps later as well (in png format).

Steps to be able to play on the downloaded world:

  1. Right click the file you want to download and click download
  2. While waiting ensure you have 7-zip installed
  3. Extract the file into %appdata%/.minecraft/saves
  4. Play!

Link Your Minecraft and Discord Account!

We’ve added the ability to link your Minecraft and Discord accounts. You can do this by typing /discord in-game and following the instructions. This is still an early version so expect messages to change and features to be added and improved upon. The main reason for this bot is to ensure places like #marketplace, #bidding, and #suggestions can’t be misused by people with multiple discord accounts. But it will also make it easier for everyone to know who is who since you will now automatically be using your Minecraft username. If you have a nickname you can switch to it using the &nick command. For more information on that use &help. Please keep in mind these commands will only work in #bot-spam.

Some features we are still working on include automatically giving people their donor role in Discord and Nitro rank in-game. Currently, nicknames don’t fully sync yet either (they won’t update automatically so you’d have to relink your account for them to update). This will hopefully be added this week.

For now only the previously mentioned channels have been restricted to only linked users, next week more channels will follow to ensure everyone who uses discord will link their account as well. If you have any issues with linking feel free to msg me!

All servers are temporarily closing down in 30 minutes to move over the databases from the old Summit/Valley server to the new server. This shouldn’t take long, but since there can be unexpected issues we cannot give an ETA. As soon as Meadow and Atoll are back up we will begin moving Summit, Valley, and lobby to their new server – so they will be down for longer. We apologize for the short notice, we decided to do this as soon as we could because of the high player counts.

Meadow, Atoll, and Creative will be temporarily down some time tomorrow to move them over to the new server. There will be a 5 minute warning before they go down and if there is an ETA it will be on our twitter page.

If they can’t be fixed all maps will have to be deleted to properly start syncing maps. I’ll talk to the developer of the plugin tomorrow to see if we can do anything to keep the maps. Expect an announcement as an update to this one somewhere this week.

Synced maps will not work right now because the map plugin has an unexpected issue. We have all of them backed up and will import them as soon as possible for you to use. There is not an exact ETA for this but it will hopefully be fixed before Monday. Any new maps created and any already existing ones that you didn’t mail Teri about will not be saved, so do not make any new maps until this issue is complete.

Preparing For The 1.15 Update

We are not able to update quite yet but it’s getting close, most of the plugins have updated, we are just waiting for a few vital ones before we can make the servers publicly available. We do not know when they are done, but will announce it a day before we update. Players will be able to take over all their items, some money will be removed in the transition but most of it you can transfer as well. MyPets won’t be available for a while and are likely to need some form of reset so please make sure to empty their inventories. When we switch to 1.15 we will have the old and the new world together for each server for a month. You can use that time to move everything you want over. Please make sure to finish any of your builds before then, we will save a copy of the server the day before we update and make that public a month into 1.15.

We will be partially redoing the vote crate, to do this properly we will be removing all higher than normal level enchants from items during the transfer. This will be automatic, enchants that normally can’t be on items will stay, the only thing this will do is lower the level of the enchant back to a vanilla value.

We want to do one last test of 1.15 to determine what the player limit per server should be. Please help us with this by joining the test server 66.70.181.8:25567 this Friday at 11 PM UTC.

1.15 is set to release on December 10th 2019. The first pre releases are out, which means we can start our testing. At 11 pm UTC today (so in about 40 minutes) I will edit this announcement to include the server ip where you can join to help testing. The server will remain open until I have the data I want, the server might reboot without warning so please keep this in mind. The map won’t be saved, we’ll likely reset it every time a newer 1.15 update gets released. Please keep in mind all Altitude rules still apply, since there are no plugins griefing, killing players and stealing from players isn’t allowed either. We want everyone to be able to enjoy it while they help us. Not following these rules might result in a punishment on the snapshot and normal server. To join you need to be on Minecraft 1.15-pre1, you can get this by doing the following:

  • Go in the Minecraft launcher
  • Click on Installations
  • Enable snapshots by clicking the checkbox next to “Snapshots” under versions
  • Click on Play to go back to the main menu
  • Select “Latest Snapshot” on the bottom left
  • Click PLAY

Once you’ve done that you can join the server at: 66.70.181.8:25567

New Crate Released

As of today, we have introduced a new type of crate to the Altitude servers. This “super crate” contains many more unique items, including mob heads! To get a key you can exchange at one of the [KeyShop] signs for $10,000 in each of the survival spawns. You can then use these keys on the crate next to the sign. Please note that you can only buy 1 key every 3 hours.

Please keep in mind that not every item you get will be worth what you pay for the key. The value of the items varies so don’t be discouraged if you don’t win something you hoped for on your first few tries.

The items in the crate will be changed every few months, including the addition of new mob heads. This means some of the items will only be available temporarily while others are permanent additions, so we encourage you to continue looking out for these new changes!
