ENTERING THE NETHER
We will be updating to 1.16.1 on Monday (UTC), July 13th. We will not be resetting the Overworld for this update as there are barely any changes to the Overworld. To compensate for this we will be expanding the world border by 1000 blocks in each direction on release and again at a later date.
The Nether and End will be reset. However, there will not be a dragon fight in the End. Due to the Nether now being a viable place to build bases we will not be resetting it every 6 months like we had done previously. Instead, we will be introducing a world border in the Nether. In the beginning it will be 1/8th the size of the Overworld border. If necessary, it will be increased in size.
We will be updating with almost all plugins. MyPet will not be there from launch, but we will of course add it back as soon as we can. This means that you will temporarily be unable to enter your pet inventories. Because of this we advise all players to clear their MyPet inventories as soon as possible so you do not forget about any items in your pets’ inventories.
We will be updating two servers at a time. Atoll and Summit will go first, followed by Meadow and Valley. We expect at least 6 hours of downtime for each server. You can play on Meadow and Valley on 1.15.2 while Atoll and Summit are updating to 1.16.1. When Atoll and Summit are finished updating, we will be opening them up to the public–meaning those servers will be available in 1.16.1 first.
Players should use the next week to remove their resources from the Nether and End. No player data will be reset as long as it is in the Overworld.
